The Center for Reliability and Diagnostics (CRD), based in Mumbai, is dedicated to managing critical assets by providing specialized plant reliability and maintenance knowledge and services under the leadership of Dr. Tarapada Pyne, a distinguished Mechanical Engineer with an M.Tech from JNTU, Hyderabad, and a Ph.D. from BIT, Mesra, Ranchi. With over 40 years of experience in defense services and large process industries, Dr. Tarapada Pyne specializes in Asset Management, Reliability Management, and Machinery Diagnostics. He holds certifications as a Chartered Engineer, Certified Reliability Professional, Energy Auditor, and Vibration Specialist, and has delivered keynotes, published over 20 papers, and is actively involved with several professional bodies. Additionally, Dr. Tarapada Pyne serves as a dissertation guide and visiting faculty for reliability engineering and project management at the University of Mumbai. CRD bridges the knowledge gaps between industry and academia across various disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, chemical, structural, instrumentation and control, and information technology, keeping pace with the needs of Industry 4.0.
